Data practice

Privacy Policy

Google Analytics runs automatically on this production website to help us understand which pages people read.

Information this site collects

The application code does not collect names, email addresses, résumés, payment information, precise location, account credentials, or advertising identifiers through forms or accounts.

Audience analytics

Google Analytics runs automatically when you load this production website and when the page pathname changes. It helps us understand readership and which pages people visit.

Google receives page-view information, including the page pathname and title, and technical information sent by your browser, such as its IP address and browser information. Page addresses sent by this implementation omit query strings and fragments; referring page addresses are suppressed. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization remain denied.

Analytics uses first-party cookies whose names begin with _ga to distinguish visits. This application does not read or write an analytics consent preference in browser storage.

Google's handling of information is described in its Privacy Policy.

No forms or accounts

There is no registration, login, newsletter form, application form, comment system, checkout, or contact form. The site does not ask readers to submit personal information to an unverified recipient.

External links

Articles link to government and other primary sources. Following an external link takes the reader to a site with its own privacy practices. External article content is not embedded. Following a source link is your choice.

Hosting logs

Hosting infrastructure may create routine security or access logs. Those records are separate from the application code and should be governed by the host's documented retention and security practices.
